For guests seeking the deepest expression of geisha entertainment, five or more geisha may be arranged upon request. With five geisha, the evening can include dedicated roles for singing, shamisen, and three dancers — creating a fuller balance of sound and movement in full visual presence.

Sushi Experience by a Master Chef
A skilled sushi chef joins your private room to prepare sushi as an additional culinary experience during your evening. This is added to the kaiseki dinner — not a replacement. The chef joins in addition to the standard meal service.

Arrival Experience
Private Rickshaw Arrival with a Geisha
Begin your experience before you arrive at Miyakodori. Guests meet at a designated location in Asakusa, where rickshaws await. From there, you will ride through the streets of Asakusa together with a geisha to the tea house. During a 20-minute ride, your rickshaw guide will share a brief introduction to Asakusa’s history and the culture of the geisha district.
- JPY 50,000 per rickshaw — one rickshaw per guest, with a geisha seated beside you
- Available with the 1-Hour, 2-Hour, and 3-Hour plans
The rickshaw option may be cancelled in the event of rain, due to kimono and rickshaw conditions.

What is the cancellation policy for Exclusive Experiences?
Cancellation charges depend on timing:
- 31 days or more before the experience date: Full refund
- 15 to 30 days before: 50% charge
- 14 days or less before: 100% charge

Is there a dress code?
Smart casual or formal attire is recommended. Many guests choose to dress for the occasion, though there is no strict dress code. Bare feet are not permitted in the tatami rooms, so please bring socks if you plan to wear shoes that go directly on bare feet.
Are the rikishi professional sumo wrestlers?
The geisha appearing at Miyakodori are real working geisha of the Asakusa flower district.
The rikishi in this experience are trained sumo performers, not current professional sumo wrestlers. They are trained under the supervision of a company operated by former professional sumo wrestlers.
The experience is designed as private cultural entertainment, not as a professional tournament or public sumo match.
Can we take photos and videos during the experience?
Yes. Photographs and personal videos are welcomed throughout the evening. Our staff is happy to take group photos with the geisha and rikishi. Commercial use of footage requires advance arrangement.
Is English support provided?
Yes. A professional English interpreter is included in all Exclusive Experiences plans and is present throughout the evening, supporting conversation with the geisha, rikishi, and our staff.
Can children attend the experience?
Yes. Children are welcome at Exclusive Experiences.
The base price includes up to 4 guests. Within this base price, no additional charge applies for children, regardless of age.
For additional guests beyond the 4 included guests, the following child rates apply:
- Ages 0–3: Complimentary
- Ages 4–6: 50% of the additional guest rate
- Ages 7 and above: Full additional guest rate
Please share the ages of any children at the time of booking so we can prepare the evening accordingly.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, and allergy-conscious menus can be arranged with advance notice. Please share any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
How far in advance should we book?
Exclusive Experiences require a minimum of two weeks’ notice to coordinate the geisha, rikishi, and the private tatami room. However, depending on availability, we may not be able to accommodate two-week requests. Booking one month or more in advance is strongly recommended, especially for preferred dates and longer plans.
Can Miyakodori be reserved as a full private buyout?
Yes. A full private buyout is available by separate inquiry — please contact us to discuss the details.

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept major international credit cards. For corporate and travel agent arrangements, alternative payment methods may be coordinated upon request.
Can the duration of the experience be adjusted?
The 1-Hour, 2-Hour, and 3-Hour plans are designed as complete experiences. The scheduled appearance time of the rikishi cannot be extended. If you have special timing requests, please contact us in advance so we can review what may be possible.
