Miyakodori is one of the few traditional machiai-chaya (待合茶屋) still welcoming guests in Asakusa’s historic geisha district. Every ozashiki takes place in a fully private tatami room — seasonal cuisine, quiet hospitality, and a kind of Tokyo that still lives here, quietly, every evening.

The Geisha Sumo Special Experience

This is a rare experience available only at Miyakodori in Asakusa. Trained sumo performers join the ozashiki alongside authentic Asakusa geisha — two of Japan’s most iconic traditions sharing the same tatami room for one unforgettable evening.
